Louis Vuitton selects K-pop band Riize as brand ambassadors – WWD

PARIS — South Korean boy band Riize have been named the newest house ambassadors for Louis Vuitton, the house revealed Monday.

Members Shotaro, Eunseok, Sungchan, Wonbin, Sohee and Anton appear in first images of the group, in monogram printed denim, bomber jackets, printed reversible fleece vests and cargo pant looks from the pre-spring 2024 collection.

“The group has garnered significant attention for its trendsetting and confident fashion style. Their comfortable and liberating fashion choices have already piqued interest in the fashion world, and they are eagerly anticipating future collaborations and adventures with Louis Vuitton,” the company said in a statement.

Louis Vuitton has snapped up the popular boy band just three months after their debut, proving houses are eager to work with South Korean talent.

They are the latest South Korean stars to join the house. K-pop icons BTS paved the way, becoming the first group collectively signed to Louis Vuitton in April 2021 and appearing in the brand’s runway show in July of that year.

Girl group Le Sserafim joined the house last month, along with Stray Kids member Felix in August, BTS member J-Hope in February, Got7 member Jackson Wang in January and NewJeans member Hyein in December 2022, just six months after the group’s debut.

Louis Vuitton has strengthened its ties with South Korea and its heated luxury market with a monumental women’s pre-fall show last April, turning Seoul’s landmark Jamsugyo Bridge into an epic runway.

While Riize is only three songs into their career, they have quickly gained popularity with their guitar and sax-infused singles. Their first single, “Get a Guitar,” sold more than 1 million copies in its first week.

They debuted in September as a seven-member group, with member Seunghan taking an indefinite hiatus from the group last month after a series of private social media posts were shared. Shotaro and Sungchan were previously in the group NCT.

Riize has proven popular on social media, gaining 2.6 million Instagram and 1.8 million TikTok followers.

The group will release their next single on Jan. 5.
