BTS V’s Stalker Case: Woman Sent To Prosecution Without Detention After Showing Up At K-pop Idol’s Residence

There’s finally an update in BTS star V’s stalker case. The ‘fan,’ who showed up with a marriage certificate at the singer’s Seoul residence, has finally been charged almost a month after being arrested.

V’s stalker charged

For the unversed, on October 26, at approximately 6:30 PM KST, a woman in her twenties had followed BTS’ V into the elevator of his apartment building. The women had reportedly been waiting for V outside his residence, before following him when he drove into the building’s parking lot. Not only did she try to speak with V, the ‘fan’ also tried to hand the BTS star a marriage certificate.

After being arrested on October 27, the women has reportedly been handed to the prosecution without detention on the charge of violating the Stalking Punishment Act by the Gangnam Police Station on November 17.

If reports are anything to go by, the women is said to have a history of having stalking Taehyung in the past. Following her arrest, BTS’ label as well as the singer had released statements regarding the matter. While BIGHIT Music revealed that they would be taking action, V shared that he was okay.

V’s professional life

The BTS star made his solo debut on September 8 with his first album, Layover. Following his album release, V held his first solo fan meeting in Seoul on October 14. Aside from his music career, Taehyung has also been making headlines as the global brand ambassador of luxury fashion house Celine and French jewellery brand Cartier. Taehyung also opened up about his acting comeback, sharing that he had rejected a good K-drama script as he was working on his solo album, but was interested in acting.
