SEVENTEEN and BTS are now tied as the only K-pop boy groups with multiple songs in the “Top 10” of the prestigious melOn Daily Charts. With this achievement, SEVENTEEN also became the only K-pop boy group to enter the MelOn charts in the year 2023. Just a couple of days ago, the active boy group entered the “Top 10” with their latest release, God of Music.
This song is a part of their upcoming mini-album SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN. This achievement was definitely an occasion to celebrate for the group’s fans as one netizen deemed the tie the “biggest fight of the century.”

2023 has seen SEVENTEEN dominate the charts and raking in high numbers. Ever since the release of their 10th mini album, FML, in April 2023, their popularity has skyrocketed, with their chart performances improving significantly.
The boy group has set several records in 2023. One example of this was their inclusion in the prestigious Billboard Midyear Boxscore Charts in June of 2023 as the only Korean act.
Another groundbreaking achievement was the highest stock of pre-orders in the history of K-pop for the group’s upcoming album, SEVENTEENTH HEAVEN. The total number of orders was recorded to be 5,206,718 (5.2 million) sales. With this, they broke their own previously held record of the most pre-sales for the album FML (4.6 million).
On October 25, 2023, their upcoming album’s pre-release song, God of Music, whose music video was released via YouTube, joined their previously released songs, Super and Fighting (by BSS), marking the most number of songs by any K-Pop group to enter the “Top 10” of the MelOn charts this decade.
This record was previously held by BTS, who also had three songs entering the “Top 10.” However, with God of Music also entering the 10, the record is now tied. SEVENTEEN’s Super even holds the record for the highest-charting boy group song of 2023 on the MelOn daily charts.
