Young Posse will make its debut on Oct. 18, the girl group’s agency DSP Media said Tuesday.
Young Posse is DSP Media’s upcoming five-member girl group.
The group’s name derives from the Latin word “posse,” meaning “possible” and “to be able,” implying that the group is of young people with a purpose, the agency said.
The teaser released Tuesday showed an animated illustration of the five members riding a skateboard, showing the band’s “carefree energy,” alongside a snippet of a track that is left yet to be announced.
Posse is co-produced with Beats Entertainment, an entertainment agency founded by producer and rapper Kiggen.
DSP Media is known for successfully launching K-pop artists over generations, including Sechskies and Fin.K.L to Kara, Rainbow and April.
Kiggen produced and wrote lyrics for many K-pop artists, including Seventeen, Twice, Wanna One and WJSN.
