Will’ Tops Billboard 200 as Latest K-pop Band – GoldDerby

ATEEZ debuted on top of the Billboard 200 albums chart with “The World Ep.Fin: Will.” It’s the fifth album mostly in the Korean language to top the chart in 2023 alone, but it’s the first for this octet. Read all about this week’s chart here at Billboard.com.

“The World” achieved 152,000 equivalent album units based on the combination of its traditional album sales, individual track sales and online streaming performance, but like most K-pop efforts, this collection achieved its units mostly through traditional sales of collectible CDs and vinyls. It follows fellow K-pop chart-toppers this year “Rock-Star” and “5-Star” by Stray Kids, “2nd EP Get Up” by NewJeans and “The Name Chapter: Temptation” by Tomorrow X Together.

Carry-overs round out this week’s top five. Taylor Swift‘s “1989 (Taylor’s Version)” is back down to number-two with 101,000 units after rising back to the top spot last week. Drake‘s “For All the Dogs” is number-three with 76,000 units. Morgan Wallen‘s “One Thing at a Time” ranks fourth with 65,000 units. And Michael Buble‘s “Christmas” returns to the top five with 60,000 units.

“The World” wasn’t in our predictions center for this week’s Billboard 200 predictions contest, but four users correctly bet on “None of These” for the top spot on the chart. Only 10 foresaw “1989” slipping back to second place. Seven who played our predictions game bet on “For All the Dogs” in the number-three spot. A strong 17 predicted “One Thing at a Time” at number-four. “Christmas” wasn’t in our predictions center this week either, and only one user correctly picked “None of These” as the answer for number-five. Ultimately, one user was able to correctly predict four out of the six results on the chart.
