Malaysian PhD Graduate Receives Life-Sized Cutout of Her Favorite K-Pop Idol at University of Malaya Convocation

After years of hard work and dedication, it was the big day for this Malaysian academician as during the recent convocation ceremony in , she finally received her doctorate. Congrats! To celebrate the big day, her close friends knew exactly what to do. Rather than bringing her flower bouquets, they brought her K-Pop bias instead, well at least a human-sized cutout of him. Going viral on TikTok, <@mirahhhwr> knows that her friend, Dr Natasya is a huge fan of of the K-pop band . Hence, she and another friend plotted to surprise the PhD graduate with a life-sized cutout of during the convocation ceremony at . In the TikTok video, which has garnered over 268,000 views as of the time of writing, Dr Natasya can be seen walking through the crowds toward her friends and grinning after spotting the cutout. The 3 friends then laughed before Dr Natasya, with her scroll in hand, posed with the cutout while smiling from ear to ear. In another TikTok video, <@mirahhhwr> shared the struggles of bringing the life-sized cutout to the convocation. Dr Natasya posing with the cutout has a different layer of meaning to it as the K-Pop idol famously said years ago to his fans this statement, “Bring your diploma”. words have since been used by his fans to study.
