Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort foresees attracting domestic and overseas music fans to Incheon’s Yeongjong Island, near Incheon International Airport, with the company’s December lineup and entertainment plans for the upcoming holiday season.
Located inside the mega integrated resort, the Inspire Arena is the property’s key feature and Korea’s first indoor multipurpose performance hall with 15,000 seats.
The first event scheduled at the arena is one of Korea’s leading year-end music awards show and festival, Melon Music Awards (MMA) 2023 on Dec. 2, which will be followed by K-pop sensation SHINee member Taemin’s solo concert on Dec. 16 and 17.
Then, the venue will stage the annual televised music festival SBS Gayo Daejeon on Dec. 25 and wrap up the year’s culture calendar with “2023 TVXQ Concert [202&2]” on Dec. 30 and 31.
The MMA 2023 and Taemin’s solo concerts sold out immediately after bookings opened and the upcoming TVXQ concert is expected to lure many global fans, as the K-pop giant celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, according to the resort.
The arena is equipped with cutting-edge technology to host world-class cultural events, such as the latest Panther System from global audio manufacturer Meyer Sound.
The venue also offers an audience-friendly seating structure that ensures optimal stage visibility from every seat. The stage can be altered for different types of events, including music concerts, award ceremonies, esports competitions, sporting events and large-scale exhibitions.
“We look forward to welcoming both domestic and international visitors with a diverse range of entertainment content, including Korea’s first performance-focused arena … The arena will host Korea’s leading music events, concerts and Christmas and New Year celebrations in December to welcome both domestic and international guests,” said Mohegan Inspire’s Chief Marketing Officer Michael Jensen.
