On October 24, the highly anticipated DAWN TO DUSK 2023 tour of popular Korean indie rock band, The Rose, came to the EagleBank Arena in Fairfax, VA. Fans, known as Black Roses, expressed their excitement on social media and The Rose’s official Discord channel. The band achieved great success with their second full-length album, DUAL, ranking no. 1 on Billboard’s “Emerging Artists” chart and no. 83 on the “Billboard 200.” Despite their busy schedule, the band also launched the official Rosarium app, created videos on TikTok, released “In Bloom” episodes on Youtube, and worked on their new album. The DAWN TO DUSK tour included Pop-Up events where fans could interact, participate in exclusive raffles, purchase official merchandise, and receive freebies. The fans also handed out fan-made bracelets and gifts and created posters and signed various flags. Equipped with official light sticks and handmade signs, fans eagerly awaited the show at the EagleBank Arena. The band’s instruments were perfectly arranged on stage, with microphone stands adorned with official logo scarves. A large LCD screen and supplemental screens provided a great view for all angles. The evening began with intense lights and fog as The Rose’s silhouettes appeared on the double-platform stage. Black Roses couldn’t contain their excitement and their screams overlapped with the music as each member introduced their instruments. They performed songs like “Eclipse,” “You’re Beautiful,” and “Shift,” captivating the audience with their talent. The band introduced their bassist and drummer as special guests who sang a beautiful rendition of “I.L.Y.” During a short intermission, “Dusk” played, leading to the second half of the show. The band interacted with the crowd, recorded videos, and played their beloved track “Sorry.” Fans sang along, cheered, and sometimes cried throughout the diverse setlist. The band also celebrated a Black Rose’s birthday. While showcasing tracks from their latest album DUAL, they didn’t forget fan-favorites like “RED,” “Beauty and the Beast,” and “Sour.” The finale was marked by colorful lighting, LED backdrops, and the song “Wonder,” with the crowd jumping and singing along. After tossing red roses into the audience, The Rose expressed their gratitude and bid their farewell. The performance was unforgettable, showcasing the power of music to unite.
