“K-pop Idol and Actor Hwang Min-hyun Professes Deep Love for Pinoy Fans: ‘Kayo ang aking pag-ibig,’”

K-pop idol and actor Hwang Min-hyun, known for his recent role in the drama “My Lovely Liar,” had a memorable evening with Filipino fans in Manila. The former member of boy bands NU’EST and Wanna One, who is now pursuing a solo career, held his “2023 Hwang Min-hyun Mini Concert ‘Unveil’ in Manila” on Oct. 8 at the New Frontier Theater. Hwang Min-hyun expressed his excitement about being back in Manila at a press conference held on Oct. 7 at Novotel Manila Araneta City. He kicked off the concert with his song “Hidden Side” and performed a range of other hits including “Honest,” “Earphone,” “So Beautiful,” “Tree,” “Perfect Type,” “Cube,” “Universe,” “Crossword,” and “Smile.” Hwang Min-hyun also shared that he recently finished filming the drama “My Lovely Liar” alongside actress Kim So-hyun. The mini-concert included various segments, such as the “Timing Game” where scenes from his dramas and music videos were shown. As a penalty, Hwang Min-hyun wore adorable headbands and posed for the fans. He even danced to NewJeans’ “Super Shy.” During the “Hwang Min-hyun’s Music Album Season 2” segment, he took on the role of a DJ and read letters from fans. Hwang Min-hyun sang several songs, including Lyn’s “Back in Time,” which was the original soundtrack for the drama “Moon Embracing the Sun” and was also recorded by K.Will for a webtoon released in 2021. He also performed “The Snowman,” “Crazy,” and “White Night.” Hwang Min-hyun expressed his gratitude to the fans for their unwavering support and shared that this summer’s concert tour across Asia allowed him to create cherished memories with his fans. As the concert came to an end, Hwang Min-hyun thanked the audience once again and mentioned that he would be returning to Korea to film his upcoming drama series. One of the most memorable scenes for him from “My Lovely Liar” was a camping scene where the director encouraged an authentic and relaxed atmosphere. Hwang Min-hyun revealed his love for traveling and his desire to embark on a world tour when he has the opportunity. He specifically mentioned his interest in visiting Boracay in the Philippines for its natural beauty and famous sunsets. Additionally, he expressed an interest in studying photography further. Hwang Min-hyun noted the difference in preparation between his activities as a singer and an actor, highlighting the need for extensive preparation for stage performances as a singer, while actors come prepared to the filming site to create synergy with the cast and crew.
