Bobby from K-Pop Group iKON Expresses Frustration in New Song “f”

by Idol Univ

It’s the leadoff track on his new mini-album, ‘ROBERT.’

BOBBY, one-sixth of the K-pop group iKon, returned yesterday with ROBERT, a new four-song solo mini-album with one very aggressive leadoff track. It’s called “f”—you can imagine what that letter might stand for—and it debuted in the upper reaches of the Genius Top Songs chart.

Written by BOBBY and The Proof, “f” is a rock-flavored rap tune aimed at unnamed haters. Check the vitriol in the chorus that opens the song.

They never fuckin’ loved us (No, way)
But now we stacking breads like mothafuckas
Fuck you, if you still tryna hate
Because I got no mothafuckas, 내 머리 위에

There’s an almost Beastie Boys-like vibe on the opening verse, as BOBBY continues his lyrical assault.

They used to never wanna see us
Spent a whole lotta money just to flex on y’all
Now, look who was mothafuckas wrong

The guitar really ramps up on the post-chorus—as does BOBBY’s ’tude.

Throwin’ a f on your face, face
Yeah, 맛 좀 봐라
Throwin’ a f on your face, face, face, face
으으 y’all ugly as fuck

BOBBY continues going hard in the second verse, where he references the next Super Bowl’s halftime performer and his 2008 song “Moving Mountains.”

Got me chained on my neck
Like a 개쉐리처럼
You a gas-lighting bitch mothafuckas
I bet you wanna see me suffer
But my fans moving mountains like Usher

“f” comes with a music video in which BOBBY rocks a very fashionable straitjacket and later throws a barrage of punches at the camera while wearing a blood-splattered raincoat.
