Stray Kids Set to Make a Comeback with Fresh New Music in November

Global trending K-Pop stars Stray Kids joins the comeback parade with new mini album, 樂 Star.

JYP Entertainment posted the video ‘Stray Kids “樂-STAR” Prologue’ announcing the group’s comeback on its official SNS channel at midnight on October 6, cheering domestic and foreign fans.

Stray Kids readies a new work about 5 months after their 3rd regular album ★★★★★ (5-STAR), which was their first comeback in 2023 and ranked first on the US Billboard 200 for 3 consecutive weeks.

With ★★★★★ (5-STAR) and the new album 樂-STAR, they are raising expectations for their soaring progress.

The released prologue leads viewers to a new direction and world that is different from the teasing content that Stray Kids has presented so far. The video begins by highlighting a child who is fast asleep 30 minutes before the performance begins.

In his dream, the child becomes the main character of a movie that takes over a bank and enjoys the ‘joy’, but sweet dreams cannot last forever and he wakes up in a startled situation, surrounded by people he believed to be on the same side.

When the child’s eyes were opened, it was only five minutes before the performance, and everyone was busy preparing.

The emotionally agitated child sighs and reveals complicated feelings. Like the drowsiness that comes before an important performance, or like a pirate ship that stops on its way to Treasure Island.

Sometimes the world doesn’t go as planned and you get angry. This may grow into a feeling of ‘anxiety’, but the child knows that the emotion is something he created by himself and that if it can be overcome and ‘enjoyed’, he will do well.

Curiosity and anticipation are gathering as to what kind of music, concept, and rock vibe they will show under the bright guitar sounds, drum beats, and waving flags that ring in the ears of those who want to show ‘how to have fun’.

Stray Kids’ three works reached the top of the Billboard 200 with ODDINARY in March 2022, MAXIDENT in October, and ★★★★★ (5-STAR) in June 2023.

In particular, ★★★★★ (5-STAR) proved its long-running popularity by being on the chart for 15 consecutive weeks and breaking the group’s record for being ranked the longest. Recently, the group has been touring the world stage and solidifying its position as a ‘global trend.’

Last July, as the headliner for K-pop’s first Lollapalooza Paris, they thrilled over 60,000 audiences, and in September, they appeared for the first time at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Prudential Center in New York, USA, performing the title song “Special” of their 3rd full-length album.

In addition, Stray Kids is the first of the 4th generation K-pop boy groups that has successfully completed a 10-session large-scale dome tour in 5 cities in Korea and Japan, with all tickets sold out. 5-STAR Dome Tour 2023 completed performances at Fukuoka PayPay Dome, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, and Kyocera Dome Osaka, and continued at Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on October 21-22, followed by performances on October 28-29. The finale takes place at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

Meanwhile, the new mini album 樂-STAR presented by Stray Kids who know how to have fun, will be officially released on November 10 at 2 pm (00:00 Eastern time in the US).

The new album will be available for pre-order at domestic and overseas retailers starting at 1 p.m. on the 6th.
